On October 28, 2025, a republican scientific and practical conference on the topic “Green Economy in Uzbekistan: A New Model of Sustainable Development” was held at Urgench branch of Tashkent Medical Academy.

The event was attended by scholars from Urgench branch of Tashkent Medical Academy, Urgench State University, Khorezm Mamun Academy, Urgench State Pedagogical Institute, Urgench Ranch University of Technology, Mamun University, and Urgench University of Innovation.

The conference was organized with the aim of widely introducing the scientific and creative legacy of the prominent scholar Shakarjon Khujaniyazova, developing scientific cooperation at the national level, and revealing the intellectual potential of young researchers.

The conference was opened by the Director of Urgench branch of Tashkent Medical Academy, Rashid Ruzibayev. In his speech, Deputy Hokim of Khorezm Region Sanatbek Salaev emphasized the importance of the “green economy” concept in ensuring the sustainable development of our country.

During the conference, regional council deputy and chairperson of the permanent commission on anti-corruption and security issues S.Yerzhanova, chairperson of the Khorezm Regional Association of Women Scientists M.I.Iskandarova, as well as scholars from various higher education institutions, prominent specialists, professors, and writers delivered their speeches.

Furthermore, a number of scientists and women researchers actively engaged in the fields of science and education were awarded during the conference. Their scientific contributions, pedagogical dedication, and efforts in educating the younger generation received well-deserved recognition.

During the event, talented students from the Ogahiy School of Creativity in Khiva recited poems dedicated to the memory of the renowned scholar Shakar Yusupovna Khujaniyazova.

At the conclusion of the conference, several proposals and recommendations were put forward aimed at implementing scientific developments into practice to ensure environmental sustainability and to support young researchers.
